Pearson-Dunn
Insurance
is able to offer user group programs to not-for-profit facility
owners such as school boards and municipalities.
Why
a User Group program?
By ensuring those using your facilities have insurance you are protecting
yourself from liability claims arising from the activities of users.
It allows you to easily provide insurance coverage for those who
cannot provide proof of current coverage.
Who Is Eligible For Insurance Coverage
Under the User Group Program?
Any group using
your facilities is eligible. However, the program is designed principally
for sport and recreation groups at local levels who do not
belong to a Provincial/National Association. All members collectively
including Executives, Managers, Coaches, Trainers, Officials and
Volunteers while acting within the scope of their duties for the
group are covered. The Insurance Company must approve activities.
Some restrictions may apply.
What
Type of Coverage Is Provided?
For the user group, this policy covers legal liability for bodily
injury to or damage to property of others such as spectators, passers-by,
property owners and others resulting from the group’s activities while
using the property of the not-for-profit facility owner. In addition,
your legal liability for injury to participants is covered. (A few
sports disciplines may not be eligible. See exclusions).
